Elijah Zane Morton

“Eli”

April 1, 2001 – August 4, 2026

With profound sadness, Jenna and Michael Morton share the passing of their dear son, Elijah Zane Morton, at the age of 25. Eli was born on April 1, 2001, and departed the afternoon of August 4 in his hometown of Las Vegas. He attended the Alexander Dawson School, Bishop Gorman High School, and University of Colorado, Boulder, before leaving to pursue business opportunities.

From birth, Eli was a bright, creative leader who saw possibility everywhere. He was constantly studying, creating, and dreaming up the next wild idea. Whether it was a self-propelled baby stroller, a bubble machine for kids parties, or a generator built from old motorcycle parts, other people’s refuse was his brainchild.

He was the most fun older brother to Pierre and Petra, and the Pied Piper to his many cousins, who saw him as a role model growing up.

Eli was an endlessly innovative young man with a natural gift for entrepreneurship, perfected by emulating his father. He built a successful company, Total Property Services, from the ground up, proudly building relationships one dozen doughnuts at a time. His white board in his office is filled with strategic plans for several other percolating start-ups including one providing banking for the unbanked in Libya, inspired by his mother’s work in Jordan.

Eli loved to be outdoors exploring the desert by dirtbike, or scuba diving in Lake Mead. No one had bigger dreams than Eli, and the ability to carry them out. He lived his life to the fullest. His family wishes for him to be remembered for his kindness, curiosity, joy, and fun, and they are profoundly grateful that he is now at peace.
